“How do you afford to hibernate every winter?” the beaver asked the bear.
“Unlimited PTO,” the bear replied.
If you look closely out the corner of your eye, you'll catch a glimpse of it: a Kelpie, squatting in the reeds on the far bank of the pond.
Look quickly - it hasn't noticed you yet;
but soon the ripples of your entrance reach it and it scatters beneath the water.
"They're just as smart after neutering."
"I didn't adopt him 'cause he's smart - nobody cares about that anymore. I got him because he funny - and I hear they're much less funny afterwards."
"But just think: what if it gets out? The last thing anyone wants is more feral humans."
Upon hearing her name, she rose, ballgown rippling in the light. She ascended the stage, thunderous applause surrounding and accompanying her.

"So, how was it? Did you get a connection?" Gwen asked to Alice as her roommate walked in from her date.
Confused, Alice pulled out her phone and checked the signal. "Uh, fine, I guess?"
"Just fine?" Gwen pressed. "He was hot!"
Oblivious, Alice replied:
"I guess it was the throttling."
