"And for the charge of first-degree murder, what is your verdict?"
"Guilty," the lead Juror said.
The defendant's head hit his hands; quiet sobs echoed through the chamber.
The judge turned. "You are sentenced to 40 years. Bailiff, proceed."
The Bailiff stepped forward and placed electrodes to the man's temples, then pressed a button on a nearby computer. The defendant's hair soon became gray, and wrinkles began to appear on his face.
After a few minutes, the process was complete.
"You're free to go."
The defendant, hunched and walking with difficulty, stumbled out of the room.
